Recently I’ve been taking applications for a scholarship I offered to help mentor and coach women of faith to step into their God-given purpose and unapologetically make money doing what they love so they can give back to causes they are passionate about.

Here are 3 most common roadblocks that will stop you from moving forward into your greatness and one word that will abort your dreams.

  1. Fear: One of the tactics that the enemy will use to stop you from pursuing your dream is FEAR!  If it wasn’t going to be an issue for us God would not have given us 365 scriptures that help us to overcome fear.  So let’s just acknowledge right now that fear will always want to rise up when you step out in faith to pursue your dreams but you have to decide that you are not going to let it stop you.  Feel the fear and keep moving forward.
  2. Unbelief: You have to 100% believe that you can accomplish the dream and purpose for your life that God has given you.  You have to believe that HE has called you and HE will accomplish what HE has called for you to do.
  3. Self Doubt: Here’s one thing I’ve learned when it comes to mindset and your biz, it’s that there’s no room for self-doubt. You have to believe in yourself and your dreams full force. You have to trust that your dreams are possible for you in order to see the success you want.  You have to know that God desires to have you fulfill the dreams that he gave you.

One exercise I have women do is close their eyes and share with me the dream that is in their belly.  I have them say it out loud and then I also have them write it down.  There is an amazing shift that happens in the spirit, I believe, when you write the dream down.  One word will often pop up when they speak or write down their dreams and that is “HOPEFULLY”!  They will share with me everything they want to do with so much enthusiasm and then add this one little word “HOPEFULLY”!

That’s one word you need to watch out for and eliminate from your vocabulary so YOU don’t continue to sabotage yourself from being able to give birth to your dreams. Remember that death and life are in your power.  It’s in the words that you speak.  I hear this word so often from women I’m coaching and it tells me that they really don’t feel they are worthy or capable of having what their heart desires.

This word attached to your dreams hints at the fact that you don’t 100% believe that your goals and dreams are possible:

When you add in “HOPEFULLY”, it’s communicating doubt about your goals and dreams. If you find yourself saying or using the word “HOPEFULLY” when you are speaking, you are aborting your dreams. STOP and ask the Lord to uncover the reasons why you don’t feel worthy or why you’re doubting that HE is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all you could ask or think.

There is simply no room for “HOPEFULLY” when it comes to your dreams. You have what it takes to create the life you want inside you because God placed it there. You are not alone but have a wonderful loving father that is going to partner with you to see your dreams come to pass.

I want you to be ready to step up and out into your dreams in a big way for 2018.  God is going to use HIS CHILDREN to create change and help to transform the lives of others.  He wants HIS kids to be financially blessed as they move out to fulfill their purpose and add value to the marketplace.

The question you need to ask yourself today is:  Am I ready to play full out in my life or am I going to continue to play small and hope someday things will change.

God is waiting for you!  If you will give your life to God like Christ laid down His life for you, God will do amazing things in you and through you. It’s not easy but the reward on the other side is so worth it—the fulfillment of your God-given dream!
