We had a very eventful week with hurricane Irma. I was so focused on making sure we had everything ready here at the house I didn’t take the time to send out an email to you last week. I know you understand. We had hardly any damage from the hurricane and are so grateful to the Lord for his protection.  We know many others in our state, my sister included, weren’t so fortunate and we are praying for them.

Let’s chat about giving back and sowing the seed of time. I had so much fun this summer in Ecuador and serving the girls at the orphanage. It taught me so much about giving back, plus how much I’ve been blessed with here in the U.S. One big lessons I learned is that if everyone does a little, we can make a huge difference.

One of my favorite things to do is laugh and spend time as a family creating memories. It’s all about the fun, laughter in whatever we are doing in work or play. I’m so grateful that I have a business that allows me to earn money while I’m giving back to others but I also get to help others achieve their dreams both with business and health too.

I’m so passionate about helping you understand that you don’t have to work yourself into sickness in order to fulfill the call God has on your life. Whether you work in fulltime ministry or have your own business, God does not want you to rely on our own abilities but HE wants you totally dependent upon HIS ability to work through you. I understand if this doesn’t make sense right now because for the longest time it didn’t make sense to me. I thought if I didn’t do it, it wasn’t going to get done.

Enjoying time with the family wasn’t always easy for me. For many years I would work like a crazy women endless hours never making time for the kids or my husband. I would go until I would hit burnout. I would get sick and I would have to stop, rest and heal my body. This was a very self-destructive pattern I was in and couldn’t find my way out. It wasn’t until I decided to surrender my business to the LORD and do things HIS way that I eventually developed a better system for success.

If you are an entrepreneur, it’s easy keep running with your ideas and agenda for business and never stop to include the Lord in your plans. When we believe we can only be successful running our business on our own, burnout tends to hit.

4 Tips to End The Feeling of Being Overwhelmed in Business.

  1. Ask the Lord for help.
  2. Get some advice from someone you trust.
  3. Go to someone older and wiser than you and ask for some encouragement and guidance.
  4. Hire a coach and ask them to lead you in the right direction.

Don’t try to do this thing alone. The entrepreneurial life is best lived in community, with lots of support.  When you are feeling burned out, get help and start by calling on the Lord first!

Life isn’t easy. Building a business isn’t easy. Even the best of us get burned out. When you hustle hard, you fizzle out quickly. When you try to do this in your own strength it only leads to destruction.

Do what you can to take some time to be with the Lord and take the time you need to reset. Your health and mental well being should be a top priority for you, so try starting your day in prayer and give the Lord permission to orchestrate your day so you can avoid burnout.
