It was such a blessing to see my daughter Hannah comfort a friend. When we first arrived in Ecuador Hannah was very closed off to connect with the locals. She kept saying that it was too hard because she didn’t speak the language. I would tell her to just smile and say hello that would be a start. For the first 2 weeks, she would complain and say she just wanted to go home to the states. I told her to trust the process and allow God to use her and take this time to get to know the Lord and HE will change your heart.

Well, change her heart HE did. She ended up developing this beautiful friendship with a girl here that suddenly got sick and had to be in the hospital for a week. My amazing Hannah would go to the hospital and sit with her because she had no family here to help her. All of her family is in Venezuela and thanks to Google Translate they have a special bond now. Just last night Hannah asked me if we could live here permanently. I said let’s see what the Lord thinks about that.

Four days later Hannah’s friend invited us over for breakfast.  That is something that is so common here.  I can’t remember there was ever a time I got together at someone’s house in the states for breakfast. It’s usually dinner with friends.  Maybe I’ll change that up when I get home.

The best part of our meeting that day was when my hubby was able to introduce her to Jesus.  Yes, she accepted the Lord that day as her personal savior.  It was so beautiful to see the Lord minister to her heart.

I’m so grateful the Lord used my sweet Hannah to show love and kindness to this young lady.

Isaiah 54:13 I will teach all your children, and they will enjoy great peace.
